High Energy Theory Seminar: Conformal Matter: A Bootstrap Story
Florent Baume (University of Pennsylvania)
Six-dimensional N=(1,0) SCFTs of geometric origin have been classified, but an understanding of the associated conformal data remains elusive. Moreover, it is not known if there exists SCFTs that do not admit a geometric construction. In this talk, I will describe how the (super)conformal bootstrap can be used to tackle these questions. I will introduce the ingredients necessary to define the bootstrap sum rules with eight supercharges, and how to extract constraints. I will then focus on type D conformal matter, and discuss bounds on the conformal data that can be obtained for generic theories with flavour.
